As you probably know, Blackfriars Tavern in Great Yarmouth has one of the largest selections of Real Cider available in the whole country with at least 40 ciders available everyday; we are especially pleased to be able to offer you a local real cider out of the keg. Village Green Cider from South Norfolk have let us have a keg version of their excellent Medium Soul Cider, so you can now have a cold lightly sparkling real cider on draught. Delirium Argentum is an IPA from Belgian beer brand Delirium. Famous for their flagship beer, Delirium Tremens, and their iconic pink elephant logo, Delirium beers are respected throughout the beer community. Delirium Argentum is a special beer, initially brewed to commemorate the 25th Anniversary of Delirium Tremens in 2014. Described on the bottle as a ‘Hopped Amber Beer’, the flavour profile closely resembles an IPA. Amber in colour, the beer releases aromas of citrus and grapefruit from the hops, with hints of caramel from the malts. The flavour is full-bodied and intense, with a spicy, citrus bitterness. Pouring an amber red, Bacchus Kriek is a full-bodied beer with an enticing, fruity aroma. Balanced on the palate with sweet and sour notes, it has a touch of rich caramel from the roasted malts and a kick of sour from Morello cherries. It only produces 3 beers, due to its commitments to God first, the brewery is always second, and they only produce what they need to sell to keep the monastery going.
Their 8 is the middle brew, and is often regarded as the ÔspecialÕ.It is a Belgian Dubbel which is reflected in its dark copper colour and its
complex aroma of raisins, bananas and dates. It has a smooth, rich taste before a herbal finish with fruit notes. This top fermented ale can be paired beautifully with cheese and stews.
