Bruegel is an easy drinking soft and tasty amber ale. Thanks to the
refermentation it offers more body, more head and more taste than most other American and Belgian Amber ales. It is brewed with Dutch barley and German hops. Although the bitterness is clearly present, it is not dominant.

A golden blond lager. Soft, round and slightly spicy with a slightly bitter aftertaste. Bottle fermented with top-fermenting yeast.

Gulden Draak is a high fermentation beer with secondary fermentation. For the secondary fermentation, wine yeast is used. The white bottle, the black banner, the golden dragon and the red letters, constitute a stylish result that has no equal among the many Belgian special beers. Gulden Draak can be drunk as an aperitif or dessert, or whenever you have the time to sit back and relax. But this barley wine is also perfect with stews, especially the Ghent variety. It is particularly suited as a dessert beer, especially in combination with dark chocolate.

Schlenkerla Rauchbier Hansla is a low-alcohol smoked beer from Schlenkerla brewery. Located in Bamberg, the brewery has a long history and association with producing smoked beers or Rauchbiers. Schlenkerla Rauchbier Hansla is naturally low in alcohol at 1.2% ABV, brewed according to the traditional recipe for a beer that was served to thirsty manual labourers back when it wasn’t safe to drink water. Pouring a ruby-brown colour, Schlenkerla Rauchbier Hansla offers up aromas of earthy hops and smoked malt. The flavour is bitter and smokey, due to the additional hops added in the brewing process to preserve the beer in the absence of high alcohol levels.

particularly attractive. Topped with a creamy head, it gives off a slight
fruity apricot smell from the fermentation. The aroma felt in the mouth is a balance confirming the fruit nuances revealed to the sense of smell. This traditional Belgian beer is best savoured at cellar temperature (10 – 12C).

We kick of the Advent Season with a Special Edition of a Christmas Ale from Tindalls, and we have the only barrels of it! Starry Night Stout is a Creamy Oatmeal Stout with notes of chocolate, coffee and plums, and the edition we have also has the flavours of the Harlequin and Mount Hood hops grown in England which give the beer notes of orange and peach. Available only at the Blacfriars Tavern, see you soon!
