BLACKFRIARS TAVERN LAUNCHES ITS OWN NITRO STOUT

Blackfriars Tavern is thrilled to unveil its very own Nitro Stout, a bold and velvety creation crafted right here on the premises, debuting today, Christmas Day 2024. This indulgent stout offers a luxuriously smooth pour with a rich, creamy head, delivering notes of subtle roasted coffee, and dark chocolate.

We celebrated its release with one of our regulars, Paul, who had the honour of being the second customer to savour this new addition to our lineup. (The first had it all gone before we could take a picture!).

A 8.5% Belgian Style Ales Style Belgian Strong Ale from Belgium,usually available at The Blackfriars Tavern in Great Yarmouth, FB: BlackfriarsTavern

A dark brown-red beer with a compact white-yellow, stable and lacing head.Aroma has touches of caramel, mocha and chocolate. Spices such as liquorice
and coriander are also present. On the palate, initially, a very good
mouthfeel of alcohol and softness. This is followed by an increasing
bitterness, partially from the hop, but also from the roasted malt and
chocolate malt. Towards the end a nice balance between bitterness, sour and
sweet.

Boon Oude Kriek is an aged fruit lambic beer from Belgian brewers Boon.
Boon is a specialist lambic brewery and reputedly has the largest stock of
lambic beer in oak barrels in the world. Lambic beer is a Belgian style
beer fermented using wild yeast and bacteria from the air around the Zenne
valley, where this style originated. Gueuze, kriek lambic and framboise are
all styles of lambic beer. Boon Oude Kriek is a blend of oak-aged Boon
lambic beer with fresh wild cherries. The addition of 400g of wild cherries
per litre of beer gives Boon Oude Kriek an intense, sweet and sour cherry
flavour, and deep cherry-red colour. The beer is unfiltered, unpasteurised
and unsweetened, and the funky, sour flavours from the aged lambic beer

Chapeau Kriek is a cherry-flavoured lambic beer from Brewery De Troch.
Specialising in lambic beers, Brewery De Troch has been brewing in Wambeek,
located in the countryside around Brussels, since the 19th century. Brewed
using natural cherry juice, Chapeau Kriek is tart and fruity, with a bold
cherry flavour. Pouring a dark pink colour, Chapeau Kriek offers up aromas
of cherry, almond and a hint of earthy funk. The flavour is fresh and

cellars of the abbey for further fermentation. The strongest beer of La
Trappe with a beautiful amber colour. The warm taste is full and

Quadruple is also fermented in oak barrels.Since 2008, we also age La Trappe Quadrupel in oak barrels. This gives the
oak-aged Trappist beer an even fuller taste with a special wooded scent, which is comparable to wood-aged red wine.

Its surprisingly high alcohol content (8.5%), huge, creamy head, delicate effervescence and silky smooth mouth feel is what distinguishes Duvel from other Belgian beers.With its subtly bitter bite and delicate aroma, Duvel holds a unique position within the rich Belgian beer tradition. After bottling, the beer continues to ferment for a fortnight in the warm cellars of the brewery.
Finally, the beer is chilled for 6 weeks in the cold cellars. This extra
long maturing process is unique and contributes to the exquisite flavour and pure aroma of Duvel.
