It’s in the style of a “get-together” with people enjoying each other’s company over a few drinks. On Friday’s we still do pies and chips if you are peckish, and we also have a specials menu too!

Tales at The Tavern: Halloween Edition

Join us for a spooky evening of ghost stories, folklore, and chilling tales at Blackfriars Tavern (East Anglia CAMRA Pub Of The Year and Norfolk CAMRA Cider Pub Of The Year). Grab a seat, order a drink, and get ready to be entertained by our storyteller, The Yarnsmith of Norwich (professional story teller and award winning author). This in-person event promises a night of thrills and excitement that you won’t want to miss. See you there! Light snacks available on the night. (Well behaved 12+ permitted; must remain with their accompanying adult at all times).

A quick reminder that the next quiz is Tuesday August 27th.

It’s time for our Summer Quiz Series. Still with our excellent selection of Real Ales and Real Ciders, still on the last tuesday of each month, but now with our Rachael asking the questions! Expect 2 rounds of 20 varied questions with either a picture, dingbats or a clues round in-between. A light snack will be served at half time. We look forward to seeing familiar faces as well as new. Blackfriars Tavern Spring Quiz Series

Hi Everyone, a reminder that our monthly quiz is a week today on Tuesday 26th March! We were well supported last month, and the participants were rewarded with an enjoyable and unique quiz experience (but don’t worry, the Quiz Meister has promised that we will finish on time, this time.) It will be great to see those who came last time, as well as some new faces.

Last Tuesday of Mar (26th) & Apr (30th) 8pm – 10pm. Cash Prize, Free Snack, Friendly Atmosphere.
