spontaneously fermented Lambic slowly matured in oak barrels in which delicious fresh cherries are added. This gives the beer its unique artisan cherry flavour.

This Mechelen Emperor’s brew, traditional beer of the fox hunting or
Charles Quint but named after his golden coins, is still being brewed with dark, very well balanced malts, according to the classical infusion method. The aromatic malts and high fermentation process combines the warm round ness of wine with the light freshness of beer. Because of its high density of 19 ¡ Plato, the Gouden Carolus Classic is classified under ‘special beers’. Delicious!

The light Maredsous Blonde was the abbey’s very first beer. Nowadays, the monks still drink it daily at lunch.Maredsous Blonde is a delectable blonde ale with sprightly fruitiness, soft malting and a slightly dry, gently-hopped finish. A sparkling nose, complex flavours and a touch of bitterness give this fine ale all of the refreshing
quantities of a classic Belgian blonde.

Floris Mango

A 3.6% Fruit/Flavoured Beers Style Fruit Beer from Belgium,usually available at The Blackfriars Tavern in Great Yarmouth, FB: BlackfriarsTavern

A yellow golden and cloudy beer, with a firm and lacing cream-colour foam head. Aromas of mango, papaya, pepper and a subtle note of citrus. An excellent mouth feel because of the use of 100% fresh mango juice. The aftertaste is sweet and fruity.

Urthel Hop It

A 9.5% Belgian Style Ales Style Belgian Strong Ale from Belgium,usually available at The Blackfriars Tavern in Great Yarmouth, FB: BlackfriarsTavern

Hildegard returned from the Anchorage Barleywine Festival, January 2005,
inspired by the wonderfully hoppy beers she tried there. Barleywines, IPA,
Double IPA and all manner of over-the-top beers sparked her creative
impulse and the result is Belgium’s first Belgian Style IPA, Urthel Hop-It
of 9.5% ABV.With the creation of Urthel Hop-It, Hildegard started a new trend in the
Belgian Art of Brewing which inspired her colleagues in the following years.Urthel Hop-It is brewed with only malt (pils) and three European Nobel
hops. It’s a truly unique beer for hop lovers. Pale golden in colour with
billowing white foam, the nose is hoppy and spicy.On the pallet, Urthel Hop-It is very hoppy and intoxicatingly bitter but
curiously well balanced. The malt and hops intertwine in a beautiful
expression of complexity, contrast and complementary flavour. This makes
Urthel Hop-It original, unequalled and a beer to enjoy with good friends.

Westmalle Dubbel

A 7% Belgian Style Ales Style Abbey Dubbel from Belgium,usually available at The Blackfriars Tavern in Great Yarmouth, FB: BlackfriarsTavern

Westmalle Dubbel beer is a dark reddish brown, the nachgart in the bottle. The cream-colored foam collar smells of special malt and leaves a nice pattern in the glass. The flavor is rich and complex, spicy and fruity with a bitter-fresh finish. It is a balanced quality beer with a soft mouth feel and a long, dry finish. The Dubbel contains 7% alcohol.Since 1856 the monks brew beer next to the table still a dark Trappist beer. From 1926 to adapt the recipe and brew the beer a little richer. This is the origin of today’s Dubbel.
