Gulden Draak Imperial Stout is an imperial stout from Belgian brewer, Brouwerij Van Steenberge. As the rather imposing bottle suggests, this is a seriously strong, flavourful beer. The name ‘Imperial Stout’ comes from a particularly strong stout that was produced in England and shipped to the Imperial court of Russia back in the 1800s. This regal beer is brewed with double, or even triple, the malts and hops, to produce a rich, complex flavour and strong alcohol content – generally around 10-12% ABV.
Gulden Draak Imperial Stout pours a deep black colour, offering up aromas of cherries, dried fruit and chocolate. The flavour is rich and fruity, with chocolate, roasted malt and brown sugar, alongside a hint of clove spice. Drink Gulden Draak Imperial Stout to explore a dark, complex beer with an interesting history.
Gulden Draak is a high fermentation beer with secondary fermentation. For the secondary fermentation, wine yeast is used. The white bottle, the black banner, the golden dragon and the red letters, constitute a stylish result that has no equal among the many Belgian special beers. Gulden Draak can be drunk as an aperitif or dessert, or whenever you have the time to sit back and relax. But this barley wine is also perfect with and in stews, especially the Ghent variety. It is also a plus in sauces for red meat, such as a bordelaise. It is particularly suited as a dessert beer, especially in combination with dark chocolate.
A golden blond, multigrain beer with a very persistent, lacing head.A complex smell, with a citrus aroma followed by hop aromas such as Saaz, Brewers Gold and Amarillo. Initially a rather sweet flavour. The intense taste and roundness mask the presence of high bitterness.
Goliath Blonde is brewed according to a traditional method with the finest malts and hops. Rich in flavour, it is a blonde and refreshing beer that is refermented in the bottle.
Leffe Ruby is a lovely refreshing beer which is brewed by the Leffe Brewery. This is a red beer that has a delicious mix of flavours consisting of hints of red forest fruits.
When drunk in the Leffe chalice it shows it true charm including its freshness, tones of spices, red forest fruit and rosewood this defiantly something to try if you get the chance.
Our recommendation is that Leffe Ruby goes well with cheeses and melon but you could try it with anything.
Leffe 9 is a top fermentation beer with a deep golden colour and strong flavours. The spicy, bitter and fruity aromas are beautifully in balance, and the long, slightly smoky after taste gives it a special charm.
Leffe Tripel 330ml is a blond abbey ale from Belgian brewery, Leffe. At 8.5% ABV, Leffe Tripel is strong, full-bodied and bursting with flavour. Secondary fermentation in the bottle gives Leffe Tripel natural carbonation and allows the flavour to continue developing even after bottling. Naturally hazy, Leffe Tripel pours a blond colour, offering up aromas of banana, peach and ripe pineapple. The flavour is a fantastic blend of bitter and sweet flavours, with warming coriander spice notes. Enjoy like a good wine, this is not a beer to be rushed! Leffe Tripel pairs well with seafood and shellfish and is best served slightly chilled, at around 6C.
