Achel Abbey is one of the six designated ÔTrappistÕ breweries of Belgium,

in style to an abbey dubbel, with the dark brown colour, strength and
full-bodied flavour typical of this style. Trappist Achel Brune pours a
dark brown colour, with a tan head. Aromas of burned sugar, roasted malts

bitterness, partially from the hop, but also from the roasted malt and
chocolate malt. Towards the end a nice balance between bitterness, sour and

Boon Oude Kriek is an aged fruit lambic beer from Belgian brewers Boon.
Boon is a specialist lambic brewery and reputedly has the largest stock of
lambic beer in oak barrels in the world. Lambic beer is a Belgian style
beer fermented using wild yeast and bacteria from the air around the Zenne
valley, where this style originated. Gueuze, kriek lambic and framboise are
